Pop-rock boy band McFly and singer Rick Astley have joined the list of headliners performing at Lincoln Castle next year.

McFly will take to the stage on 14 June joined by rockers Twin Atlantic and pop trio Remember Monday.

Rick Astley will perform on 25 June alongside indie pop band The Lottery Winners.

Councillor Natalie Oliver, executive member for culture at Lincolnshire County Council, said: "McFly and Rick Astley are two of music's most charismatic performers of the past four decades and it will be great to see them light up the Live at Lincoln Castle stage."

McFly's Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd have seven number one singles, seven top 10 albums and have sold more than 10 million records.

They are best known for their hits such as All About You, Five Colours in Her Hair and Don't Stop Me Now.

Remember Monday will open the show with viral anthems including What the Hell Just Happened? and More Than Ever.

Rick Astley's success started with the popularity of his single Never Gonna Give You Up in 1987 followed by Together Forever and Whenever You Need Somebody.

The concerts are part of a partnership between Lincolnshire County Council and Live Nation promoters Cuffe & Taylor to bring artists to perform in the historic location.

Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, Deacon Blue, Tom Grennan, Billy Ocean, DJ Pete Tong and David Gray will also perform within the medieval walls next year.

British pop and ska band Madness will also return next year after their previous sold-out performance in 2024.

The latest tickets go on general sale at 10:00 GMT on Friday.
