A major route was closed for most of Tuesday after a crash led to a lorry spilling fuel onto the road.

The collision, which involved a van and an HGV, happened on the A39 in west Somerset, between Washford and Bilbrook, at about 07:15 BST.

Avon and Somerset Police said one person in the van suffered minor injuries and was assessed by paramedics at the scene.

The road closure led to First Bus cancelling its services between Minehead and Taunton.
