A bullock had to be rescued from a sinkhole by firefighters after it got stuck.

The animal, named Cinnamon, was found stuck in the sinkhole on Saturday morning in a field in Nanthead, Cumbria.

Firefighters from Carlisle East and Lazonby fire stations, heavy plant operators and the farmer worked together to get the young bullock out of the hole.

A fire service spokesman said: "[We used] our specialist animal rescue equipment to pull Cinnamon to safety - thankfully injury free."
