The trial of a 13-year-old girl accused of murder after a woman's body was found following a house fire will start next week.

The girl, who cannot be named because of her age, denies murdering Marta Bednarczyk, 43, in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, on 10 March.

Police and firefighters attended the house in Newcomen Road shortly after 03:00 GMT, and the victim was declared dead a short while later.

A pre-trial review held at Lincoln Crown Court was told jury selection in the trial would take place on Monday.
