Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with a large fire at a former social club.

The blaze broke out at Hartlepool's disused Engineers Club building, in Raby Road, at about 19:30 BST on 30 April.

Cleveland Police confirmed on Friday that two boys, aged 16 and 14, had been arrested. They were released on bail while investigations continue.

The fire resulted in road closures in the area due to the thick smoke.
