Murder arrest over stabbing of father of two

Josh McKay died from a single stab wound to the neck

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a fatal stabbing in Waltham Forest on Saturday afternoon.

Josh McKay, a 33-year-old father of two, died at the scene on Lea Bridge Road.

A post-mortem examination found the cause of death to be a single knife wound to the neck.

A man, 29, was arrested on suspicion of murder on Monday and remains in police custody.

In a statement, Mr McKay's family said: “The heart of our family has stopped beating.

"The world is less brighter without his beautiful smile.”
