Man arrested after crash leaves motorcyclist dead

A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a 51-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a collision in West Yorkshire.
Emergency services were called to the A58 Whitehall Road in Drighlington, Leeds, at about 09:10 BST on Saturday.
West Yorkshire Police said the crash happened between a black motorcycle and a silver Kia Rio close to the junction with New Road.
Emergency services provided medical attention to the motorcycle rider but he died at the scene. The other driver was treated for minor injuries and remains in custody.
Police said they would like to speak to anyone who saw or has footage of the collision.
A road closure was put in place while investigations were carried out but the road has now reopened.
