Officers want to speak to 11 men in relation to violence in Stoke-on-Trent on 3 August

Detectives have released images of 11 men they want to speak to as they continue to investigate violent disorder in Stoke-on-Trent and Tamworth.

Staffordshire Police also confirmed that it had made a further two arrests on Tuesday.

Riot police were deployed in the city centre on Saturday 3 August after hundreds of people protested in the wake of the Southport attacks.

Ten people, aged from 15 to 52, were arrested on the day in relation to the disorder, in which three police officers were assaulted and suffered minor injuries.

During the disturbance, police officers came under fire from missiles at one point and Staffordshire Police said two men were hit by a blunt object that was thrown.

The disorder was sparked by online misinformation that the suspect in the fatal stabbing of three girls in Southport on 29 July was a Muslim asylum seeker.
