New city dental practice given go-ahead
- Published
A new dental surgery has been given the go-ahead in a community centre in Hereford.
AMH Healthcare, based in Worcester, will take over and convert part of the Saxon Hall community centre in the south of the city.
Plans showed two community rooms, a meeting and changing room, kitchen and toilet in the building being converted.
Other parts of the building will be unaffected.
Hereford City Council welcomed the proposals as providing “a much-needed facility south of the river”, and neighbouring Lower Bullingham parish council also gave its support.
Once up and running, the surgery would open between 08:30 and 18:00 on weekdays.
Herefordshire Council planners approved the application, concluding it would cause no issues visually or with traffic.
This news was gathered by the Local Democracy Reporting Service which covers councils and other public service organisations.
