Three people have been arrested after a car was driven into a man on a town high street.

North Wales Police were called to reports of an altercation between four people on Bethesda High Street in Gwynedd at about 13:00 BST on Monday.

Shortly after, a car was driven into one of the men involved, the force said.

Emergency services attended and one man was taken to hospital and has since been released.

A 19-year-old man, a 33-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman have been arrested in connection with the incident and currently remain in police custody.

"We are aware of distressing footage of this incident circulating online and I would urge members of the public not to share these videos further," Det Insp Chris Burrow said.

He said there had been an increased police presence in the area while the force located the remaining suspect, who has now been arrested.

"Officers will remain in the area for reassurance purposes," he added.
