Delayed refurbishment work to start on fire station

Improvement work to be carried out on Lingfield fire station in Surrey will include a space for a second emergency vehicle.
The work had been due to start earlier this year, along with overhauls for Chobham and Reigate's buildings.
Surrey Fire and Rescue Service revised the timescales for the work in March, and it will now start before the end of the summer.
Chief Fire Officer Dan Quin said: "This investment means we can enhance and update our facilities and better serve our communities."
As well as the second vehicle bay, Lingfield will also get better facilities to handle contaminants, a new gym and a space to allow more community work.
Lingfield's crew and vehicles will be relocated to Oxted during the period of the works, which is being funded by Surrey County Council.
Mr Quin said: “By temporarily relocating to Oxted Fire Station, we can maintain our services during the refurbishment.”
