Police called out to garden bone discovery

An investigation has been launched following the discovery of a bone in the garden of a property in the south of Scotland.
Officers were called out to Auchencrieff Road in Locharbriggs near Dumfries at about 10:10 on Tuesday.
It has been reported that a man was digging up his garden when he made the find.
Police said inquiries were ongoing to examine the bone but it is understood it is being treated as an archaeological discovery.
