People in Norfolk were treated to a spectacular sunset as the sky turned shades of purple, pink and orange.
BBC Weather Watches sent in vivid images taken from across the county on Sunday afternoon.
The Met Office said purple sunrises and sunsets were often caused by red skies reflecting off the base of thick or dark clouds.
It added they could also be caused by dust or aerosols in the stratosphere scattering blue light, however no dust or aerosols were recorded nearby.
