A football fan who is refusing to get his hair cut until Manchester United win five games in a row fears his long wait will continue for months.
Frank Ilett, who lives in Spain, said he came up with the idea as a bit of a joke on 5 October.
The Red Devils, who lie 14th in the Premier League table, have not managed to win five consecutive matches since February 2024.
"I'm definitely committed to the challenge, but I did think it would be done by now," he told BBC Radio Manchester.
'It's been very difficult'
Ilett, who is originally from near Oxford, said he had spent the last year living abroad.
"I'm really hoping it's done by the end of the season or else it's going to be a very hot summer," he said.
"Sadly I reckon it's going to be next season now, I think. I've looked at the remaining fixtures and I don't see a run of five that's winnable."
When asked whether he had been tempted to pick up a set of clippers and do the job himself, he admitted: "It has been very difficult.
"But I want to do the hair cut at Old Trafford, or at least somewhere nearby.
"Either way, there's plenty of time to plan it!"
