Cause of fatal fire probed after woman's death

An investigation has been launched after a woman died in a house fire in Warwickshire.

Experts are looking into the cause of the blaze which started in a semi-detached house in Whitburn Road, Bedworth, just before 12:10 GMT on Monday.

Warwickshire Police confirmed the women, who was found inside the home, died at the scene.

Paramedics were sent to the scene but it "quickly became apparent that nothing could be done to save one occupant found in the property", the ambulance service said.

Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service said their investigation was still at an early stage and no cause had yet been found.
