Arrest made in connection with alleged stabbing

A man has been arrested in connection with an alleged stabbing that took place on Thursday.
It happened on Central Avenue, in Middlesbrough, at 14:25 BST.
The victim suffered "serious" injuries to his hand and was taken to James Cook Hospital for treatment, according to Cleveland Police.
A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and has since been bailed pending further enquiries.
The victim's injuries were not life-threatening and he has since been discharged from hospital following treatment.
Cleveland Police have launched an appeal for information.
