Road closed after sinkhole appears

A sinkhole has appeared on Albion Street in Wiltshire

A Wiltshire road is closed due to a sinkhole.

Swindon Borough Council's highways team has closed Albion Street from Cambria Bridge Road to Joseph Street.

In a Facebook post, the council said the Swindon road had been closed "due to a void appearing in the carriageway".

Investigations are currently ongoing to find the cause of the problem and the road will stay closed until further notice, the council added.
