Market for teenage entrepreneurs comes to Margate

A national initiative set up to create the next generation of market traders is coming to a Kent town.
Margate is hosting The Teenage Market, external for the first time on Saturday 6 July at The Centre.
Young entrepreneurs from across Thanet will be selling their creations including home-made jewellery and clothing.
A Thanet District Council spokesperson said the occasion will be "a platform for young people to show their creative skills, connect with the community and develop business experience".
The spokesperson said: "The aim is to encourage everyone to come along and show their support for young entrepreneurs."
On the day there will also be a performance space for talented young musicians, comedians and poets.
Louise Askew, head of regeneration and growth at Thanet District Council, said: “We have been impressed by the quality and range of applications from stallholders and performers received so far.
"Some of them are as young as nine, which highlights the creativity and ambition of some of our youngest residents."
