Six men, suspected to be ferrying illegal drugs between London to Wiltshire, have been charged.

Officers carried out a series of warrants in Salisbury, London and the Avon and Somerset area - seizing around 250g of cocaine, along with more than £1,500 in cash.

Detective Sergeant Ted Roe, from the Burglary and Serious Youth Gang Violence Team, said: “We will not hesitate to take robust action against those we suspect of dealing in drugs. Dealing can bring untold misery and damage to our communities."

All six are due to appear at Salisbury Crown Court on 8 May.

The co-ordinated effort saw three police forces unite to crackdown on country line drug dealing, which seems criminals work across UK counties.

The charges and names include:

  • Stephen Adetoyi, 26, of Orchard Vale, Midsomer Norton, was charged with one count of conspiring to supply a Class A drug in Wiltshire, one count of being concerned in supply of cocaine and possession with intent to supply a Class A drug in Avon and Somerset. He has been remanded in custody.

  • Jake Edmunds, 24, of Ashley Road, Salisbury was charged with being concerned in supply of cocaine and has been remanded in custody.

  • Ittipoom Khanchanakub, 21, of St Andrews Road, South Newton, was charged with being concerned in supply of cocaine and has been remanded in custody.
