Two further men have been arrested as part of a murder investigation after a man died in hospital following an alleged assault.

Kent Police were called to a property in Chatham High Street on 1 April after the man in his 30s was found injured.

A 43-year-old arrested on 4 April has been released on bail, while another man, detained on 1 April, has been released without charge.

Two further men, aged 32 and 35, have been arrested in connection with the incident.

Both suspects have since been released on bail pending further investigation, police said.

Police say they are investigating reports that the victim may have been assaulted in an access road near Magpie Hall Road between 11:00 BST and 14:00 on 1 April.

The force is also investigating reports he was assaulted in the High Street, between Upbury Way and Institute Road, at 22:45 GMT on 30 March.

Police are urging anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage of any of the three incidents to contact them.
