An electric bus being trialled in Guernsey was involved in a crash with another bus.

Nobody was injured and the vehicle which was on trial was not damaged, said a spokesperson for bus company CT Plus, which is trialling the bus and runs the public bus service.

A window on the other bus was broken in the crash that happened at about 17:30 BST "on a very narrow section" of the Route De La Charruée.

The Higer bus currently on trial in Guernsey is 8.9m (29ft) long, just over 2.3m (8ft) wide with a range of up to 186 miles.

The vehicle's manoeuvrability on local routes and energy consumption are being tested.

The spokesperson said after the minor collision passengers from the damaged vehicle were transferred to another bus sent to the area.
