Part of TT course reopens after barrier removal
- Published
A western section of the Isle of Man TT course has reopened after works to remove equipment erected for racing.
The A3 was closed from Ballig Bridge, through Glen Helen, to the Cronk-y-Voddy Straight between 09:30 and 15:30 BST on Monday.
Diversions, via the Poortown Road and the Peel Coast Road, were put in place during the works.
The safety barriers and other equipment were installed ahead of June’s Isle of Man TT races and the Manx Grand Prix in August.
The road race equipment was removed by contractors on behalf of the Department for Enterprise, which organises the motorsport events.
While the road was closed to through traffic, access to properties was maintained from the opposite direction, either side of the road at Glen Helen.
