An outdoor swimming pool is reopening a day earlier than planned as temperatures are set to soar.
Abbey Meadows outdoor pool in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, had been due to open for the summer season on Saturday.
Vale of White Horse District Council said: "With temperatures set to rise and the sunshine on its way... we are delighted the pool will open a day earlier."
Most of England is under a yellow heat health alert with temperatures predicted to hit 30C (86F) on Friday.
The alert will remain in place until 23:00 BST on Saturday.
The heated pool, and its smaller splash pool, on the banks of the River Thames in Abbey Close is expected to be open daily until September.
The open-air pool was at risk of closure in 2015 but reopened in 2018 after a £1.3m refurbishment.
Hinksey Outdoor Pool in Oxford reopened for the summer season in April, while the Riverside Pools in Wallingford reopened at the end of May.
