Greater Manchester Police were called to Black Friar Court apartments in Salford on Sunday evening, where Mr Lyall was found dead.

A man, 37, and a woman, 40, were both arrested on suspicion of murder, and later a 45-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of the same offence.

All three have since been bailed.

Mr Lyall's family said his three children "meant the world to him and he taught them that true strength comes from selflessness".

They added: “As a brother, he was fun to be with and was always a shoulder to lean on.

"We will miss his kindness, generous heart and his contagious hearty laughter."
