More time to register for area plan inquiry
- Published
People who want to contribute to an inquiry exploring future development plans in two regions of the Isle of Man have been given more time to register to do so.
The draft plan, published in 2022, includes proposals that set aside land for the development of some open spaces into residential and employment projects.
Both the deadline for register and making written submissions have been extended by one week to 17 May and 28 June respectively.
It follows a number of requests to the independent planning inspector for the inquiry for the extension from bodies including Peel Commissioners.
The public sessions will be open for anyone to attend and listen to the discussions, but those who want to present written or oral representations or objections must register in advance.
The public sessions are due to start on 16 July with four days of discussions at the Masonic Hall in Ramsey followed by a four-day hearing at QEII High School from 23 July.
Areas covered by the draft plan include Ramsey, Glen Mona, Andreas, Jurby, Bride, Kirk Michael, St John's, Foxdale, and Peel.
