Channel Islands ferry services disrupted by storm
- Published
Channel Islands freight and passenger ferry services have been disrupted due to strong winds and high seas caused by Storm Gerrit.
Condor Ferries said it "anticipated" passenger and freight ferries would operate from Portsmouth overnight and on Friday morning.
It also said an additional round-trip from St Malo would run on Friday, and passengers between Guernsey and France were being offered a transfer via its Clipper and Voyager vessels.
The company apologised for any inconvenience to post-Christmas travel after a number of cancellations on Wednesday and Thursday.
Condor said anyone affected was being contacted and the company was "making plans as best we can, given the current forecasts".
"These changes are unfortunate during a busy travel period but the extended adverse weather has inevitably affected our services", the company added.
Any passengers on affected bookings to and from Portsmouth "can transfer to the next available service where capacity permits", Condor said.
