Channel Islands telecoms company Sure has successfully migrated former Airtel customers to its accounts and billing systems.

Sure completed a takeover of its rival Airtel-Vodaphone last year.

The migration allows all Sure customers to manage their mobile, broadband and landline services through the company's MySure portal and app.

Sure said the migration marked "an important milestone in our £48m investment to deliver a state-of-the-art 5G network, enhancing telecoms across the islands".

The company said services were interrupted for about an hour because of "a firewall issue", which had now been resolved.

"We apologise to any customers who were briefly affected," a spokesperson said.
