A man has been arrested in connection with an assault on the brother of celebrity TV baker Paul Hollywood.
Lee Hollywood, who like his Wirral-born brother is also a baker, was punched and then kicked in the face in what police described as a "nasty, unprovoked assault".
It happened on Links View playing fields in Leasowe at about 19:00 BST on Friday and Bake Off star Hollywood had appealed on social media for anyone with information to contact police.
A 33-year old man from Leasowe has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and was released on conditional bail, Merseyside Police said.
