Probe into death of man found injured on Aberdeen street

Police are investigating the death of 25-year-old man who was found injured on a street in Aberdeen.

The man died at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after emergency services were called to Skene Street on Sunday afternoon.

Police Scotland said inquiries to establish the full circumstances were ongoing and there would be an increased police presence in the area.

Det Inspector Andrew Machray, appealing for witnesses,, external said: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased at this time."

He added: "We'd like to thank the public for their assistance with our investigation so far and would encourage anyone with information or concerns to contact police or speak to local officers."
