September weekend closure of A3 announced

The A3 will be closed southbound between 12 and 15 September, as widening work continues

The latest closure of the A3 has been announced for September.
National Highways is closing the southbound carriageway between the A245 Painshill roundabout and Burnt Common from 21:00 BST on 12 September until 06:00 on 15 September, with diversions in place.
It is part of continuing work to add a new lane to the A3 at its junction with the M25, along with other improvements to reduce congestion and improve safety.
The project is due to be completed by the spring of 2026.
