Plans to turn a vacant commercial property in Wolverhampton into flats have been submitted.

Fourteen apartments would be created in the building on the corner of Clarence Street and Birch Street, under the proposal lodged with City of Wolverhampton Council.

The empty premises used to be occupied by several businesses, including dance studio DanceBox, business supplies store Glovers and the Purbani Indian restaurant.

Applicant Fusion Properties said the proposed development would bring an underused building "back into productive use" and make a positive contribution to the surrounding area.
