A man has been charged following a stabbing that left another man with serious injuries.
Merseyside Police said the alleged attack took place in a flat on Upper Parliament Street in Toxteth, Liverpool, at about 7:45 BST on Saturday.
A man in his 40s, was taken to hospital with stab wounds to his head and hands and remains in a serious but stable condition, the force added.
This was the second stabbing to take place in Toxeth at the weekend, after a 14-year-old was seriously injured in an attack on Sunday.
A 52-year-old man, of Upper Parliament Street, was arrested at the scene and later charged with Section 18 wounding with intent over Saturday's alleged attack.
He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court later.
It has prompted Merseyside Police to issue a plea to the public to "speak to their children and family members about the dangers of knife crime".
Det Ch Insp Steve Ball said: "Not only do those carrying knives risk being brought to justice for their crime, they stand a greater risk of becoming a victim of knife crime themselves," he added.
