Un-bra-lievable: Mystery as undies tied to fences

The underwear started appearing on gates a couple of weeks ago

Seven bras have mysteriously appeared tied to gates on country lanes in Cornwall.

Bemused farmer Michael Irwin first spotted a bright red bra attached to a gate two weeks ago then saw a blue one tied to barbed wire a few days later.

It is not known who tied the lingerie in place but each bra has been left near the villages of Lerryn and Lostwithiel.

Mr Irwin said: "We've been all waiting for somebody to announce it's a bit of a joke... but it's a strange way of doing it."

Mr Irwin added: "It's become a bit of a talking point.

"Is it going to stick at seven - or are we going to have any more?"
