Road closures have been lifted after being put in place as part of a police murder investigation following the death of a teenager on a motorbike.

Two 16-year-old boys were found with serious injuries after a crash outside the Liquid Leisure Centre on the Horton Road in Datchet, Berkshire on Saturday afternoon. One later died in hospital.

Thames Valley Police renewed an appeal for information and closed part of Horton Road earlier.

A 56-year-old man from Datchet, initially arrested on suspicion of drink-driving, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder and remains in custody.

Horton Road was closed on Tuesday morning from Mill Place to Datchet Road at the junction of Stanwell Road and Park Lane.

The road has since reopened.

Thames Valley Police said the road closures were necessary as part of the "essential enquiries to support our ongoing murder investigation" and renewed an appeal for anyone who witnessed the crash or may have footage from the area to contact them.
