Work is about to start on a £110,000 road improvement scheme in Anlaby.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council said resurfacing work would be carried out around the B1231 Springfield Way roundabout.

The work is due to start on 25 November and be carried out between 18:00 and 23:00 GMT for five nights.

A signed diversion would be in place between those times, officials said.

Councillor Paul West, the council’s cabinet member for environment and transport, said: “These improvements are crucial for ensuring the safety and longevity of the road, providing a smoother and more durable surface for all drivers.

“We want to thank all drivers and local residents for their patience while we carry out this work.

"We would advise motorists to follow the diversion signs and plan their journeys to avoid any inconvenience," he added.
