Woman charged with robbery and officer assault

A 41-year-old woman has been charged with robbery and assaulting a police officer, following a reported armed shop raid.
Cleveland Police arrested two women in connection with the robbery at the Viewley Centre in Hemlington on Tuesday evening.
During the raid, a member of staff was threatened with a knife before alcohol and cigarettes were stolen, officers said.
A 46-year-old woman remains in police custody, while the other is due to appear at Teesside Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
