A third person has been arrested in connection with violent disorder in Cardiff.

South Wales Police were called to a report of an ongoing disturbance outside Eastern Leisure Centre, Llanrumney, after 16:00 BST on 12 October.

The force said there were several assaults, including one on a 32-year man, from Ely, who suffered a life-changing injury.

A 19-year-old man from Llanrumney was arrested at Bristol Airport on 21 October and brought back to Cardiff for questioning and remains in police custody.

Two other men have been charged with offences, including violent disorder, linked to the incident, and are remanded in custody following an appearance at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.
