Man charged with stalking teen and woman in store

A man has been charged after a 15-year-old girl and a woman were allegedly stalked and sexually assaulted in a Sainsbury's in Surrey, police said.

Officers were called to the supermarket in Guildford Road, Chertsey, on 23 January, where a a male member of the public intervened and asked the suspect to exit the store, Surrey Police added.

Dilawer Hussain, 38, of Rutherwyk Road, Chertsey, has been charged with one count of stalking with fear of violence, two counts of sexual assault and one count of possession of Class B drugs, police said.

He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Guildford Crown Court on 27 February, according to police.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, which occurred between 13:00 and 14:00 GMT, is urged to contact police.
