Road marking work will begin in the Grimsby area later

Several roads in the Grimsby area will be closed overnight for remarking work this week.

North East Lincolnshire Council said painting would start at 19:00 BST on four nights until Thursday.

A section of Carr Lane will be the first to close later, with traffic diverted using signed routes.

A spokesperson said the work would be completed "as quickly and safely as possible", but warned that some elements would be noisy.

Full list of overnight closures:

  • Monday – Carr Lane (Clee Crescent to Runswick Road).

  • Tuesday – B1203 Waltham Road, Brigsley (Normans Corner).

  • Tuesday – Carr Lane (Runswick Road to Fiveways Roundabout)

  • Tuesday – Durban Road (Roberts Street to Fiveways Roundabout).

  • Wednesday – Waltham Road, Grimsby (Scartho Fork to Springfield Road).

  • Wednesday – Gate Lane, Grimsby (Waltham Road to Pinfold Lane).

  • Wednesday – Louth Road (Scartho Fork to Westkirke Avenue).

  • Thursday - Cromwell Road, Grimsby (Finchley Court to Market Hotel Roundabout).

  • Thursday – Brighowgate, Grimsby (Grosvenor Street to Wellowgate).
