A pair have been arrested after the death of an 11-year-old-boy who was believed to have been taking part in a social media craze.

Tommie-lee Gracie Billington was found unresponsive after a sleepover at a house in Lancaster in March.

The opening of an inquest was told he had inhaled "toxic substances".

A 25-year-old man from Lancaster had been questioned over allegations of child cruelty and neglect and released on bail, Lancashire Police said.

Drug allegations

In a statement, the force confirmed he had also been questioned over possession of drugs with intent to supply and money laundering.

A 35-year-old woman, also from Lancaster, was also arrested and questioned in relation to an allegation of possession with intent to supply.

She had been released under investigation pending further enquiries, a Lancashire police spokesman said.
