Five days of road closures have been announced for the A18 Barton Street.

Carriageway and drainage repairs will be carried out between the A46 Laceby crossroads and the southern borough boundary near Ludborough.

The work will begin on Monday and is due to be completed on 28 June.

In a statement, North East Lincolnshire Council said the repairs would "be completed as quickly and safely as possible" and apologised for the disruption.

The closures will be staggered, with the work being carried out in three phases:

  • On Monday, a section of the road will be closed between the A46 junction and Barnoldby le Beck roundabout.

  • On 25 and 26 June, a stretch will be closed between the Barnoldby le Beck and Ashby Hill roundabouts.

  • On 27 and 28 June, the closure will move on to a stretch between the Ashby Hill roundabout and the borough’s boundary, near Ludborough.

Each closure will be in place from 07.30 to 18:00 BST. Access to homes and businesses will be maintained.

The council said the "routine maintenance work" would also include cleaning signs and cutting back vegetation.
