Lancashire Police say the man was struck at Ormskirk bus station

A man in his 20s who was seriously injured when an empty single-decker coach rolled back and hit him died a few days later, it has emerged.

It happened at the bus station in Ormskirk on 26 September at about 11:45 BST, and the man, who has not been named, died at the beginning of October, Lancashire Police said.

He suffered internal and pelvic injuries.

The force said the investigation had now been closed as they were "satisfied" there had been "no criminal act".
