Oscar statuettes flown into Los Angeles

Boxes of the 2012 Oscar statuettes have arrived in Los Angeles ahead of the Academy Awards on 26 February.

One trophy, which had its own boarding pass, was personally escorted by Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences president, Tom Sherak.

Passengers on the Chicago to LA flight got a chance to hold the statuette at Los Angeles International Airport.
