Charleston shooting suspect 'should not be approached'

Police have vowed to do "whatever it takes" to bring a man who killed nine people at an African-American church in Charleston, South Carolina, to justice.

Police Chief Gregory Mullen described the suspect as "a very dangerous individual" who "should not be approached".

"This tragedy that we are addressing is indescribable. No-one in this community will every forget this night", he added.
