Real-life drama behind death of The Archers' Grace
The world's longest-running radio drama, The Archers, has been entertaining listeners for 65 years, but the show's most shocking moment came on 22 September 1955, when millions of listeners were left stunned by the death of Grace Archer.
A new play - Dead Girls Tell No Tales - explores the broadcast and the impact it had on the public.
It also explores the theory that the BBC chose to broadcast the sensational episode when it did to scupper the launch of new rival ITV.
BBC Breakfast's Tim Muffett reports.
Dead Girls Tell No Tales airs on BBC Radio 4 at 14:30 BST on Saturday 19 September.
