No evidence Sessions will be 'fair and humane' on immigration

Senator Jeff Sessions, the nominee for attorney general, defended his tough approach to illegal immigration during a confirmation hearing, saying the American people had backed his view in the presidential election.

But Democratic Senator Dick Durbin criticised the voting record of the Republican from Alabama and warned that undocumented families in America had reason to be fearful.
