Nissan chief executive on increase in car recalls
Japanese carmaker Nissan recalled 2.1 million vehicles worldwide late last month because of an ignition problem.
Earlier this year, the company recalled about 76,000 cars in Japan and more than 2,000 overseas due to a defect that may cause engine failure.
Carlos Ghosn is Chief Executive and President of Nissan as well as French car company Renault.
Visiting London on Monday Mr Ghosn spoke to Nils Blythe from BBC Radio 4's PM programme about the increase in recalls across the motor industry.
