Rubbish as a revenue source in Cairo
People living in poor areas of Cairo have long trawled through rubbish to try and gain an income, putting their recycling skills to good use.
The district of Zabbaleen has been experiencing tough times since the government tried to put a stop to informal waste collection by employing private companies, but that has not stopped some locals determined to turn rubbish into revenue.
