'Economy will continue to recover' says Office for Budget Responsibility

The independent Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) has said public sector job losses will not be as high as previously thought.

The previous forecast that 490,000 people would find themselves out of work over the next four years has been revised down to 330,000.

OBR chairman Robert Chote also said the economy would continue to recover, although at a slower rate than after previous recessions.
