CML predicts mortgage lending 'set to fall again'

House prices are set to stagnate over the next year, according to the Building Societies Association Property Tracker survey.

It comes on the same day as the Council of Mortgage Lenders warned that mortgage lending is set to fall to its lowest level for more than three decades

The CML's Director General, Michael Coogan, explained to the BBC's Simon Jack why the lending market was still contracting.
